The Chart Rich Edit Pane:

With Rich Edit, you can create and edit simple text documents or documents with complex formatting and graphics.

You can save your Rich Edit files as a text file (.txt) or rich text file (.rtf).  These formats provide you greater flexibility when working with documents.
