Hildegarde was born in Aachen, Rhineland, Prussia. Hildegarde's father was Gerold I (Childebrand) Count of Vinzgau and her mother was Imma Duchess of Swabia.  She was an only child.  She died on April 30th, 0783 in Thionville, Austrasia.  Her burial was in Abbaye De St Arnoul, Metz, Austrasia.
