Jacob was born in 1595 in Gross Anspach, Germany. Jacob's father was Georg Weiser and his mother was ? Klopfer.  His paternal grandfather was Georg Weiser; his maternal grandfather was Georg Klopfer.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 80 in 1675.
