    Hendrick DELONG and wife Margaret Joslin settled in Prince Edward County in 1811.  He was the son of Conrad DELONG and Catherine Froelich.  His descendants owned large amounts of land in Ameliasburgh township. Hendrick's second cousin Arra DELONG, with wives Rachel Forbush and Jane van Vlack, also settled here.  Many of their descendants were farmers in Whitby Township, Ontario County  Another was Comfort Delong and his wife Anna Zufelt.  Comfort was a close relative to Henry and Arie, but his exact parentage is not known.
    
    Children of Catherine Froelich or Freligh and Conrad(t) DeLong are:    i. Elias DeLong was born ABT 1744 in (Beekman Precinct), Poughquaq, Dutchess, New York, and died ABT Dec 1806 in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess, New York. He married Helitje Burhans 25 Jan 1771 in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess Co., NY, daughter of Johannes Burhans and Sara or Zara Oosterhoudt. She was born 23 Jun 1745, and died in Ulster County, New York. 
        ii. Mary (Maria) DeLong was born 1746 in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess Co., New York, and died in Ontario, Canada. She married Daniel Cool or Cole BEF 1769, son of Barent Cool. He was born 30 Jun 1731 in Queens County, Long Island, NY, and died 5 Aug 1836 in Adolphustown, Lennox, Ontario, Canada. 
        iii. Jeremiah DeLong was born ABT 1745, was christened 20 Jan 1745 in Beekman Precinct, Dutchess County, New York, New York. He married Rebecca Hallenbeck. 
        iv. Daniel DeLong was born 1751 in probably at Beekman Precinct, Dutchess County, New York. He married Mareitje Burhans, daughter of Johannes Burhans and Sara or Zara Oosterhoudt. She was born 23 Dec 1753, was christened 2 Jan 1754 in Katsbaan, New York. 
        v. Lenah 'Sarah' DeLong. She married Joseph Ebbet or Abbot. 
        vi. Hannah 'Anna' DeLong. She married John Rappelje 26 Jun 1779 in New Hackensack, New York. 
        vii. Aaron B. DeLong was born ABT 1757 in Albany Township, New York, and died BEF 1851 in Millstream, Kings County, New Brunswick. He married Mary Kierstead 10 Nov 1788 in Kings County, New Brunswick. She was born 22 May 1770 in Jamaica, Long Island, New York, and died 25 Aug 1861 in Millstream, Kings County, New Brunswick. 
        viii. John DeLong was born ABT 1760 in Albany, New York, and died 1804. He married Sarah Clarke ABT 1784, daughter of Moses Clarke and Mary. She was born 1761, and died 4 Apr 1858. 
        ix. Simon DeLong was born 13 Oct 1761. He married Experience Charlton 6 Nov 1785. 
        x. David DeLong was born ABT 1764, was christened 29 Aug 1764 in Beekman Precinct, Dutchess County, New York, and died 1833 in Albany, Albany Co., New York. He married Prudence Ward. She was born 1764. 
    4.   xi. Henrich (Henry) DeLong was born 14 Oct 1765 in probably at Beekman Precinct, Dutchess County, New York, was christened 7 Nov 1765 in probably at Beekman Precinct, Dutchess County, New York. He married Margaret Joslin. She was born 6 Apr 1769 in probably at Little Nine Partners, New York, and died in Ontario, Canada. 
        xii. Catherine DeLong was christened 14 Feb 1768 in probably at Beekman Precinct, Dutchess County, New York.
        xiii. Sarah DeLong was born 11 Nov 1769 in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess, NY.
